I'd suggest playing AC:B and skipping AC:R. AC:B is widely considered the best game in the series (and I would agree with that 100%).

AC2 is widely considered the best game...

Also, as above, 2/B/R is coming out together - Ezio's trilogy, for $40 on PS3 (and 360, I'm guessing). The ACB DLC was 10x better than the ACR DLC, at least for single player. There was a boycott of the extra maps pack for ACR until they fixed some odd glitches which never got fully fixed.

People still play ACB's multiplayer, and I'm guessing that it and ACRs will be around for a while. Looking forward to learning the new maps in AC3.

Every review I watched/read for AC:R said something along the lines of AC:B the best in the series when describing how AC:R was the series "first step backwards."

I could probably buy both of those games for cheaper than AC3 though.
But, AC3 is going to be the best to date. Really, if you played AC2 you don't need to play B or R.

I'm giving serious thought to requesting the AC3 Vita package for various holidays and other gift giving occasions.

Pretty sure they're on sale for 75% of on Steam. Not sure when the midweek madness sale ends, but I think it might be when the store updates today at 1:00 EST.

My new computer should come in today or tomorrow. I'll be on Diablo 3 then.
