You're welcome. I was hoping it had not gone unnoticed.

Not sure why NA still hates me.
I hate you?

Lol... "some people just want to watch the world burn". A little exaggerated, but you've got to admit that some people just can't seem to pass up an opportunity to insult someone and try to make them feel bad about themselves. Some people are just plain bullies and jerks.

I noticed, and I thank you for it. Since we talked a while back, I've been making sure read your posts with a nicer mental voice, so that I don't assume snippiness when they're really just concise. It's made a huge difference for me, knowing that's not how you intend them. I actually went back after that and re-read some of your prior posts with a different intonation, and then I felt bad for assuming they were snarky.

Maybe she doesn't. Maybe the timing is just off? I dunno. I sometimes feel like NA dislikes me too, and maybe she does. But I'm trying really, really hard not to make assumptions.

I still have days where I fail at that though.

Sometimes you seem abrasive toward TDA. But maybe it's just your style of communication coming through differently in written form than it would in person with inflection and gesture and all that.

Huh. I donít get lovely vibes from TDA and I respond in kind, but I didnít think we crossed paths all that often on here.

Anywho, I have several people on ignore that I will not respond to nor quote, because their words are worthless to me and the ignore feature is an efficient way to read the posts of posters whose words might have some worth.
Oh, I might sometimes read the ignored's psychotic or hysteric or ornery drivel because nothing else to do, but I won't respond.
Mostly, I'm looking for information and some humor.

For quite some time, I read TDA's posts as being super-snarky. And it influenced my interactions with him, even if they weren't frequent. After some more involved discussion though, turns out he's just really, really concise, and I'm really, really verbose. Now I'm aware that I seem to read really short posts as being snarky or condescending... which may not be the way they're intended. I'm trying to work on that, but it's a struggle. It's hard to de-program a perception like that.

I suspect I do the same thing to you. I think most of the posts of yours that i read tend to be pretty short, and I probably read them as being harsher than they're intended as.

On the other hand, there are a couple of posters that tend to write long posts... and as I try to reevaluate my mental voicing, I am concluding that I tend to read longer posts with a much more reasonable and friendly mental voice than is necessarily what's included in the content.

I'm starting to conclude that having robust, direct, in-depth communication is a form of affection for me... So that I tend to give what I want to receive. Apparently I need that particular kind of attention to feel valued and special.

Interesting observation about my own perspective on this - Yesterday, Bernie was being very short and curt in his responses to me, and I took it pretty personally. I read all his posts as being mean (and some of them were, let's not candy-coat that). Today, he has been writing longer posts... and even though the majority of the points he's arguing haven't changed, I read them as being much nicer. Yesterday they felt like a closed fist, today they feel like an open hand.
