FYI, Jacksonville is playing at Denver in a couple of weeks.

Power ratings say Denver -27. I expect the line to be closer to -24.

This one could be historical, folks...

And Denver will play it's starters for the whole game, still throwing the ball deep in the fourth quarter, trying to make history. And that is good for them. And it will provide us with no additionalinformation on how good they are.

Only common opponents for Seattle and Denver are:
@NYG
JAX
@HOU
SEA @IND IND@DEN
TEN@SEA DEN@TEN

Maybe HOU and IND will tell us something about the comparable strengths of the teams. However, HOU@DEN is week 16, so that won't matter for DEN, unless they are record chasing.

So, we will have the unbalanced comparison of the Indy games between the teams.

I agree that a game against Jax isn't a good indicator of how good a team is, but I don't get your comment on playing its starters. Denver sat Payton and a few others in the 4th quarter of the Eagles game in a game where they set a team record for most points. I doubt they'd act differently if playing against the Jags.

We could also look at just the first 3 quarters of both games.

I blame Fox for that stupidity in my post. I didn't get to see any of the fourth quarter against the Eagles because that was my local broadcast, then they switched to a competitive game (SD - Dallas?), but since PHI-DEN was technically my local broadcast, I couldn't get it via Sunday ticket channel. Never saw that Peyton sat the entire fourth quarter. Oops.

Also, I am a big homer dumbass that still hates the Broncos from the AFC West days.

Did you try to tune into the Sunday Ticket channel?

Yup, it was blocked because my local Fox affiliate was supposed to be showing the game. The Sunday Ticket channels for the games shown on your local CBS and FOX are always blocked. Even if using the web/mobile app, which I think is really effing stupid.

Seattle has an above average offense and an elite defense and Denver has an elite offense (chance to threaten the record books) and an above average defense. So yea, both are really good teams that are destined for first round byes. Denver is better but not by a mile (high stadium?).

yeah, I'm familiar with the blackouts, but I've never enountered a situation where I wasn't able to watch a given game. Of course, it's not too often that local affiliates change mid-game.

It'd be funny if Dophins & Saints ended in a tie.
