Default Another NFL Pick 'Em Pool

Subtitle: Hunting for Blow-outs

Even though we're through 5 weeks, I think this will still work.

Rules:

1) Pick each NFL team in one game for the remainder of the season.

2) Your score for each team is their score minus their opponent's score for that game.
Ex 1 - Patriots beat the Redskins 33-7...if you picked the Patriots, you score 26.
Ex 2 - Colts beat the Chiefs 19-13...if you picked the Chiefs, you score -6.
Your final score is the sum of your 32 picks.

3) You must pick each team once...so you make 32 picks.

4) You cannot choose 2 teams in the same game (net score = 0).

5) Contestants can enter at any time, but refer to rules 3 & 4 before waiting too long.

6) Pick any time up to kick-off of that game (so you can post all picks at once, or one at a time).

7) For a tie-breaker, we'll compare worst scores...best worst score wins.

Let me know if I'm missing anything....and feel free to give feedback throughout that we can incorporate to future seasons.

Would it help to post "Team - Week #" as a means to avoid picking both teams of the same game?

e.g., "Redskins - Week 6"

Also, it'd be interesting to incorporate a "bonus" if you pick the biggest "blowout" of a particular week. And an added "penalty" if your picked team gets "blown out". E.g., if your picked game has the largest point spread for the week; score is multiplied by 1.5 (or something like that).

Shouldn't we look at Rules 3 and 5 in terms of "waiting too long"?

I used the AO pickem excel template to start. Made it go pretty quickly having all the games laid out by week already.
