This has been the speculation in some circles for quite some time. Mr. Robot never interacts with any other character other than Eliot. Other than 3 episodes ago, I think this is very true (haven't seen the current episode yet).

yea, the encounter at allsafe did give me that vibe. however, i thought i remmeber there being several interactions between the other hackers and Mr Robot. at least i think i recall them. i guess it could be Fight Club style where they are just showing them responding to Mr Robot when it's really elliot, i'd have to rewatch. i might also try and watch closer when i get around to the next episode.

an example i remember, from the last episode when Darlene wanted to go ahead and burn up Steel Mountain. Mr Robot was yelling at her not to do it as it was pointless and elliot walks over her and doesn't really say anything but stands next to her and she doesn't do it. if Mr Robot wasn't there, again, they are purposely fooling the audience.

I didn't see it immediately but after it was brought to my attention in other discussions I do believe now that Mr. Robot is a personality of Elliot. It fits with the whole theme that the story is told entirely through Elliot's warped mind. Like how he's "reprogrammed" himself to hear Evil Corp instead of E-Corp and it's all we, the viewer, hear now also.

As you say, they will explain it just like with Fight Club. That the scenes with Elliot and Mr. Robot together are really just perceived as Elliot by everyone else. It's a little disappointing they so blatantly copied Fight Club but there's enough other stuff about Elliot and the show that's different that is doesn't really bother me.

Also something to cover your webcam, but how do you muffle the microphone?

BTW,

Hey, spoilers on all that Fight Club crap!!!!

J/K. Might have to watch Fight Club to figure out just what you are talking about.

It makes my head hurt.

And I love it. Will have to go back and watch all the episodes again once it finishes the first season.

I thought he and the chick he worked with at Allsafe had been friends since they were little and she lost her mother and he lost his father to the thing by Evil Corp. I am so confused I think I might be going crazy.

Spoiler:
There was that scene where Elliot and Mr. Robot were talking on the cement wall about Elliot's dad committing suicide and Mr. Robot pushed him off the wall.

I am going crazy.
