I know that I should be 2nd so you have that correct.

Huge pet peeve of mine as someone who's been in the Northeast a while but grew up south of wherever this line is. You are not "on line". You are physically a part of the line.

We could just say "in queue" like Europeans/Aussies and do away with the confusion, I guess.

Ok - I'm on board, let's draft!

People who may have value:
Wilson Contreras (keeper in 5th)
Joey "Mr. K" Gallo (maybe keeper for me in 10th)
Gleyber Torres (maybe keeper for me in 10th)
Shin-Soo Choo (8th)
Jorge Polanco (10th)
Sonny Gray (7th)
Mike Leake (9th)

Top 6 get the last 6 spots in reverse order of finish. So you had odds/evens mixed. This is the draft order.

I thought the winner of the top 6 games got the better draft spot, to actually reward the team for winning.

Example: Zeke beat me in the 5th place game, so he gets the he gets 15 and I get 16.

Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on

"Winner of those games gets the higher draft position, champion picks last" paraphrased from the rules. I've always read higher in the context of the rest of the paragraph to mean a high number. So champ is 20th and 2nd place is 19th. I've always done 3rd place gets 18th, 4th gets 17th... so on.

Theory there is once you're that low in the round, it's beneficial to have a later pick for trading purposes.

Which makes my 14th pick oh so juicy, late enough to be good for keeper purposes but still high enough in the round to be useful for drafting! Anyone who wants to swap a bunch of picks in the 4-9 range for all my 14s hit me up!

Yes we added that so there was no incentive to throw the 5/6 or 3/4 game.

I've always read higher to mean closer to the top. Generally, when you trade up your pick gets better.

I will trade all of my x.17/x.18 picks for x.16/x.17 picks if anyone believes this.
