Default Disney+, ESPN+, Hulu for $12.99

https://www.theverge.com/2019/8/6/20...eaming-service

I'd buy it if I could record and watch, and if it included all the cable stations I currently get, plus ABC, AND if I could access it from my current TiVo.

I'm not paying extra for more content. I want to pay less for only the content I want.

And it looks like Disney trying to create an internet cable company, with all the bundling nonsense.

I read pretty carefully, it's not clarified but they did mention the 12.99 is the with-ads price.

It's currently $6 more to go from ads to no-ads on Hulu. So maybe 18.99 a month for the bundle. Not bad really.

It would seem kind of dumb if they didn't.
They've said Disney+ is a $7 add on to Hulu.
Now they're saying a bundle discount with ESPN+.
Would have to think the bundle discount applies to commercial free as well.

I have spotify and they give you ad hulu for free. Paying full fare to remove ads is too rich for my blood

I've been saying for years how this "unplug" and buy a la carte streaming channels trend is just a transition phase of getting your TV from a Wi-Fi device (still plugged into your ISP, mind you) instead of a set top box, and eventually 2 or 3 companies will emerge that provide bundle deals for all the a la carte options with some exclusives to fuel competition.

Disney buys Hulu, Netflix buys Sling, so on, so forth.

I'd pay $12.99/month for an ESPN package. I don't think ESPN+ is what I am wanting though.

I already have Hulu (without ads). If no ad free option I'm likely to just add Disney+ which i'm rather excited about.

Hopefully, they copy Netflix software as much as possible because its the clear leader for streaming in my view (why doesn't Prime have individual user accounts?!!). They own BAM? which is a major streaming software provider.. i think did HBO and HULU's (consider both to lag netflix in a big way) so hopefully they improve.

Sprint would gives it to me for free, but I prefer not to deal with commercials so I pay for that.
