One of my favorite books of all time F*** yes has a character who has tons of designations cuz he literally steals the plaques off the walls of people who actually earned them.

NOTE -- the title of the book contains the F word, so don't click the link if you don't like that word

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

When I'm emailing people with whom I work closely, I usually don't, because it's more casual. When I'm emailing someone with whom I'm not familiar, I usually do... just so they have an idea of who the heck I am and why I'm emailing them. And if I'm laying the smack down on some poor unfortunate soul who done messed up... I usually include them. It's very situational, but I'd guess I only include them about 20% of the time.

EDIT -- But, I don't put all of my actuarial ones, just FCAS; and I do put some of my non-actuarial ones (CPA, CFA) but not all of those either (CPCU and a bunch of little ones by the Institutes).
Why did you do CFA?

Seems redundant with FCAS

I can understand CPA somewhat.

I just wanted to learn more about investments and that was the "easiest" way. Although the exams are not as hard as actuarial exams, I don't think there was a big content overlap. CFA is about evaluating portfolios, specific companies, etc. FCAS investment content is more about CAPM, theory, etc.

I actually think some of the accounting content of the CFA exams was tested more rigorously than similar content on the CPA exam.
