Going to Loons vs Dallas tonight. Supposed to be 99 with a 110 heat index today. Awesome.

You would think that with those numbers the game would be in Dallas, but its not...

Did my 'Murican duty and went to a MLS game on the 4th. Saw the Loons first hat trick in MLS. (Seriously, click this link and watch the goals if you haven't seen them. All 3 were pretty impressive.) But I was very disappointed with the Minnesota fans not throwing their hats on the pitch. I mean, c'mon, we're the "State of Hockey".

Atlanta really screwed themselves last night. They had that game in hand and let it slip away. I haven't seen that much with this team and hope they are really angry at themselves.

Ronaldo to MLS: Over/Under 3.5 years (yes, he just signed a 4 year contract with Juve)

Currently he is 33. Ages of other European "stars" to come to MLS:
Keane was 31
Beckham was 32
Schweinsteiger was 33
Villa was 33
Rooney was 33
Zlatan was 36
Pirlo was 36
Cole was 36

Is there enough money in MLS to entice Ronaldo to come over? He's supposedly making something like $35 million a season, after tax. No one on that list made/makes anything close to that. Beckham probably had the best deal when you factor in the future ownership rights (if that ever actually happens) but that was MLS 1.0. I guess it will probably depend on how his body holds up the next few years. Zlatan seemed pretty far fetched until his body broke down and no one would give him a decent contract in Europe.

I see the argument of sponsorship deals, but I can't imagine Nike would pay him much more than he already makes at this point to be in the US.
