Default Annuity Questions [pt 14]

I don't understand a(10)/a(n). What's the purpose of this and what does it mean?

In the formula, there is a v^t instead. Is v^t equivalent to a(10)/a(t) in this problem?

a(10)/a(n) is the accumulated value of 1 deposited at time n rolled up to time 10.
