Default Football Players mortality

Roger Goodell says they live longer.

Wondering if there are any studies in the profession, be they proprietary or not.

Is your mortality factor higher or lower in underwriting for active or retired professional football players?

and you can get pension plan stats from here:
https://www.soa.org/research-reports...on-plan-stats/

Quote:
As calculated as of the start of the plan year by the plan’s actuary for funding purposes and reported on the plan’s Form 5500. Liabilities are computed using a 7.25% discount rate and the RP-2000 Mortality Table projected to 2006; the projection scale used is not reported
that's for the pension plan -- fwiw, they can take their pension as an annuity starting at age 35, but I believe the "normal" retirement age is 55
