Default COVID Movie/Documentary Binging

Got lots more free time right now, so going to be binging a bunch. Open to recommendations.

* The Outsider - HBO
Pretty good series. Very Stephen King, so probably the best barometer on if it'd be your jam.

* Little Fires Everywhere - Hulu (Still airing weekly)
Still ongoing, but good. Reese Witherspoon's character is pretty much the same one from Big Little Lies

* Tiger King - Netflix
It's ****ing nuts. Definitely worth it if you like to watch a trainwreck.

* Gilbert - Hulu
Gilbert Gottfried documentary. Really good.

* Amazing Jonathan Documentary - Hulu
Good as well. Definitely worth it if you enjoyed his show that was on endless repeat on Comedy Central in the 90s.

The Platform - Netflix. A Spanish take on Parasite, set in a warped prison. Tough to watch, but well done IMO. Will make quarantine seem pleasant by comparison.

Bad Genius - Netflix. Thai with subtitles, set up like a heist movie, but it's about students cheating on exams. Fun!

The Last Man on Earth - hulu.

This was an FX show that started in 2015, projecting that in 2019 there would be a worldwide virus wiping out pretty much all human life except, of course, the title character. And a few others.

I watch it for the lulz, not the science. The last two episodes of Season 2 got a little more into the and virus-science than the first season.

I'm eight episodes in on The Outsider and enjoying it a lot. I'm a big fan of the book and I'm trying to ignore the differences, especially with respect to Holly.

The Outsider was the fourth appearance of Holly in a King novel, so it feels like we're ignoring her actual back story. I have not seen the Mr. Mercedes series though, so I'm not sure how she's portrayed in it. I do know that the creators of the HBO series wanted to change her name but King said no. Supposedly, King is planning future books with her as a character.
