My personal default is 7 days (even though I usually move within hours of when it's my turn), but, here at the AO, if you go back to the very, very beginning of the Chess League Seasons, you'll see that you are expected to make one move per business day:

...but there's also this from a somewhat recent season:

...and there was also this which appears to have been dropped, which is unfortunate since it's my only claim to fame when it comes to chess:

I had difficulty issuing these challenges from a desktop computer. I was able to issue them in a mobile app:

Play--->Plus--->Play a Friend--->(enter username and touch magnifying glass)

Then select the 5 days time and play

That's awesome! To win a u1900 usually means you performed at a 2000+ level. I find OTB way more fun than online, but it's hard to get out and play. I tend to lose track of the games that go on for weeks.

Nothing like winning an OTB game. Just reading your post makes me want to play again.

Accidentally challenged rhorho twice, made a move in the first game that was accepted. It wouldn't let me abort the game in the second one that popped up, so I offered a draw.

Also, I'll mention that in the draw offer game, I am black. But it honestly didn't show up until later and I am willing to draw/abort (if possible) either game and play the other.

Thanks! The software they used estimated my performance at 2106.

I started playing at a chess club which plays a rated game one night a week, so the time commitment isn't as big as weekend tournaments, and the competition is pretty good - we get about 70 people a week for rated games, ranging from a few National Masters down to people rated around 1000. I find I really concentrate and think about my moves there, instead of online where I pull out my phone and move way too quick. The thrill of winning is awesome. The drive back after a defeat sucks. I highly recommend it if you have somewhere nearby!

I'm gonna get slaughtered in these matches, I can already feel it. Everyone is doing openings I'm not used to (plus I haven't played before these games in over a month). Just hoping I don't blunder too badly in the opening and try to ignore the 300-400 rating differentials most have on me. Abstract doing a pawn sac opening for development, Dzibanche already has me way outside my comfort zone with c5 and b5 to my d4 c4, and prettydumb is going into a big king side expand. I guess the plus side is I get time to think about moves if I want to with this format rather than an time controls.
