Horse Girl - **1/2 This was at Sundance this year and released to Netflix. It stars Allison Brie as a mentally ill woman, or so we are led to believe initially with a family history. During the movie, she drifts from lucidity to mania, or does she? The movie is open to a lot of interpretation, but just wasn't all that great IMO.

Ordinary Love - *** Liam Neeson and Lesley Manville are an older couple and she get some bad health news. The story is very simple and revolves around two people who had to deal with some personal tragedy in their life and this is just one more instance. The movie moves along a slow but reasonable pace given the story. We thought that the treatment plan was a bit aggressive, but that is just a part of the story. Worth the time and money.

ok, COVID has killed this thread

Becoming *** 1/2 This documentary follows the Michelle Obama book tour. It has some really great insights on being so in the spotlight. She is the most real and human of the first ladies in my lifetime, especially for how much she put herself out there.

The Lovebirds - *** Available on Netflix starring Kumail Nanjiani and Issa Rae. Pretty entertaining film, lots of action, much mayhem. reminded me of a combination of Date Night and Game Night. If you like Kumail, he is excellent in his role. I haven't seen much of Issa Rae, but she had real good chemistry with Kumail. Recommend.

I think these all qualify as 202 movies. If not, imagine they were listed in the latest movies you've watched thread.

Irresistible**** The new movie by John Stewart. Features Steve Carrel and Rose Byrne as political strategists, looking forward after the election of 2016. It didn't get glowing reviews, but for what it tried to be, I think it did an excellent job. There is a huge twist toward the end of the movie that I didn't see coming. Stay through the credits for a discussion with a former head of the FEC.

Scoob!*** Who doesn't love Scooby Doo. We get a back story about how Scooby and shaggy meet. Interesting cast of voices with Zac Efron, Amanda Seyfried, Will Forte, Mark Wahlberg and Gina Rodriguez. Some cool throw back villians with Dick Dasterdly and Muttley. Not a great movie, but it was enjoyable for what it was.

My Spy **1/2 We really like Dave Bautista's comic timing, so this was a movie we were anxiously awaiting, but alas, even Dave couldn't really save this one. Disappointing would be my review. Some very funny lines here and there, but the plot was so obvious from the beginning, it was simply a matter of waiting for it to unfold.

Guns Akimbo **** Not sure what to make of this one. Dan Radcliffe as a programmer who loves to troll people on his off time. Trolls the wrong guy, one who runs a real life video game (think Nerve, but to win, you need to actually kill you opponent). Dan has some unrequested body enhancements performed and is thrown into the game. There are a quite a few twists and plot turns that make this a very riveting movie. However, if excessive violence is not your thing, you may want to bring a tarp to protect from the blood spatters. Samara Weaving plays Dan's opponent in the game. She was amazingly psycho in her depiction of her character Nix.

I saw the preview for this the other day and thought it looked solid. Will give it a look see.
