The courtyard around the Kabaa:

Normally, that space is packed with people.

Although, maybe they are planning to reopen the site after cleaning it? Apparently it's unclear exactly what will happen.

Only about half of typical deaths in big cities in China are cremated.

During the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, China ordered all deaths from the virus to be cremated. Perhaps that applied to all deaths as well?

Since China consistently lies about epidemic deaths and cases (they did this during SARS 1 too), we have to get creative with estimating the actual numbers there.

About 45,000 urnes will be distributed in Wuhan alone.
That's quite a 2-month mortality rate for a city with ~11m people.

You are correct.

I'll never get tired of seeing the "empty spaces that are usually crowded" pics. It's calming. It brings me peace in the face of impending doom.

I went out for a walk, trying to stay in areas without crowds. It's a beautiful day so there are a lot of people out now. Twice I had people pass me from behind (one biking, one jogging) that came mere inches away from me. That's so annoying. Please respect everyone's space right now. Most people were trying to keep their distance. It's only a few *******s behaving like that.

Agreed.
Imagine Coronavirus being similar to the aerosol of cologne/perfume. So, every time you can smell someone else's body scents (literally man-made or, well, literally man-made), that's too close (IMO).

I'm going off the walking trail (grass of wood chips) most times I'm jogging around people. Or, the people I see in front of me do that before I can. I live in a pretty nice place, though so YMMV.
