This was my first attempt and I got a 9. I used the ASM manual and did Adapt (got to level 7.4) and the SOA 307. I tried the first Mahler test and failed horribly.

I agree with you on Mahler, those were way too hard compared to the real exam.

This was my experience, too.

Having the discussions for answers to problems on ADAPT was key for me. I never got pass EL 3 on a test.. Truthfully, I never really 'got' some of the sections, but memorized the framework of the problems, and how to solve them. Typically not my style, but I was pretty pressed for time.

I had a look at a Mahler Exam, and found the formatting to be a bit of a turn off, and the difficulty was way over the top, IMO.

Part of the exam process is finding what works for you.. How you will be able to focus and actually get through problems without getting frustrated and procrastinating further. I'm glad I made it through this the first time.
