I called to make a reservation at a restaurant once and they asked if I was celebrating something special. I said "yes, we're celebrating my passing my actuarial exam"! This resulted in dead silence and finally an "ooookay....so four for dinner?" That night, the people at the table next to us got free dessert because they were celebrating an anniversary. I got nothing for my actuarial exam. I'm still slightly bitter.

Might have helped if you had jumped on the table and done a little happy dance.

Could have ended it by shouting, "Now where's my cake BITCHEZZZ???"

I'm a little sad none of us did that at the Po-tacular. There was an unfortunate lack of cake. Also, fancy ice cream (though I blame myself for forgetting to ask on Saturday).

Both of them.
