On a different note, I just can’t imagine most of those games still being fun. With the exception of RPGs, SOTN and Metal Gear Solid 1, I’ve found it painful to play PS1 games these days. There may be other games that hold up, but I’m not sure what.
I have a Vita too, but I pre-ordered the PS ONE classic anyway. Never had a PS1 in my life, I'm just getting it for collection purpose (similar to the NES mini, SNES mini I own) and will continue to spend most of my time on PS4

Do you really need a ground up remake of a perfect game? It could only make it worse.

Have been playing a lot of Mount & Blade.

It's a weird game. It was indy before indy was a thing. I remember the beta test, it completely revolutionized medieval combat and added some nice RPG elements, but the story and atmosphere were unfinished. Now a decade has passed, the full game, lots of patches, 2 major expansions... and the gameplay is still impressive (though less so now that we have dozens of Dark Souls games), and the atmosphere and story are still amazingly dull.

What I'm saying is I wish the writers of Failbetter or TellTale or Bioware could just buy up the finished Mount & Blade assets and stick a cool story/atmosphere/relationships onto the core-play of roaming around with a cavalcade, making headshots from a horse, and charging with a lance over an over again.

What I'm saying really, is that maybe all video games come down to:
1) obsessively click on things.
2) think about your progress.
3) read a story with pretty pictures.

And so many games get only one or two of these right.

Anyway, to break from all the hours of horsing around, I'm playing some BattleTech.
...Which also isn't perfect (much weaker than both MW and MC), but at least the pictures are pretty, and I can sit around customizing my mechs for hours (and then go bankrupt while the team of engineers glue lots of lasers to their butts.)

Nice, I finally made it to champ this Season, finding other people to play with instead of solo queuing got me over the D3/C1 bump. You think you got a shot at Grand Champ next season?

So, Telltale has effectively closed with only a skeleton crew left to do the Minecraft Story mode tv show with Netflix. The final season of the Walking Dead will not be finished, which kind of makes me not want to play season 2 & 3 now.

Pro strat: Finish your exams, then more time and money for video games. Itís a pretty sweet deal, IMO.
