Networking Event?

Hello,

The Younger Actuaries Network is interested in putting on a networking event for college students and actuarial students, where you can enjoy some food and drinks, listen to a presentation about the profession and chat with a few practicing actuaries and their take on the profession.

If UCSB is interested, please let me know - I'd like to talk with someone about logistics and whether you all would be interested in attending the event.

In case you're worried about contacting an anonymous Internet identity, I'm contacting you on behalf of the Younger Actuaries Network, which is a subsection of the SOA's Actuary of the Future section. I'm Mike, the VP of Membership for the YAN. I'm the person in charge of trying to get these networking events started and get the ball rolling.
