Default Recommendations given new ASA requirements?

Hi all - I'm fairly new to this. I passed FM in December and I'm sitting for P in March. I'm wondering if anyone has advice on which exams I should try to squeeze in before the July 2018 deadline. I was a pure math major (and decided late in the game that I wanted to pursue this career) so I don't have any VEE requirements completed either.

I'm in a similar position (except I haven't passed any exams yet). I'm about to order Infinite Actuary in an attempt to pass exam P. So it's probably not imperative to be thinking about this yet, but I wonder how the new changes will effect us.

We're recommending that students consider completing their VEE in Applied Statistics prior to July 2018 because the current Applied Statistics VEE will give you credit for both the new 2018 VEE in Mathematical Statistics and the new SRM (Statistics for Risk Modeling) Exam.

The current statistics VEE has two components, Time Series and Regression Analysis. ACTEX offers courses for the two components separately or one that covers them both.

ACTEX VEE Courses in Applied Statistics
ACTEX VEE Courses in Regression Analysis
ACTEX VEE Courses in Time Series

Am planning on going the CAS direction, should I still worry about getting Applied Statistics VEE? I have FM and doing P this month, do you have any suggestions for me?

Applied stats VEE doesn't give credit for CAS

You should also check to see if your school has any courses that are already approved for VEE credit. May be more practical than Actex if it counts towards graduation.
