For the most recent week, I have only gone for groceries and takeout food. The week before was a little more "social", but even then, I tried my best to keep the 2 metre circle around me, hand wash, etc.

Similar with cashiers at 7-11, where I spread out my items on the counter with all of the bar codes facing the cashier and they wait patiently because they know what I'm doing. Or markers for where to stand in line at stores, etc.
you went to a bar!?!??!

I voted 2, but change my vote to 1 in comparison to you.

the bars are also all closed here, so I couldn't go to one even if I wanted to.

In the past couple of weeks:

* Two instacart orders - had delivery person deliver to back of my car, and I carried groceries in from there when they left

* Three trips through Walgreens' drive-thru

* Assorted deliveries from Walmart and Amazon; quarantined boxes for 24 hours before unpacking

just found this on facebook that tries to quantify social distancing success rates by state based on cell phone usage. there is a massive difference among states. unsurprising, my state scored an A as did my city. not sure if it's gonna be enough though

Good link thanks for sharing. Curious how people feel about their "reduction in distance traveled" as a proxy for "social distancing". Seems reasonable. Not perfect obv.

And to be clear on my prior post, the margaritas were to go, from a restaurant. Literally we (me, gf, and bartender) were the only people in there for the two minutes it took her to make the drinks.

I voted 2, but think Westley's doing pretty well at social distancing. In the population, many people are doing FAR worse.

oooh, yeah that's different.

i'm too paranoid to even do that, but I think it's likely okay.

So how does it work with takeout drinks in the US of A? Do you get a red Solo cup with a lid or something?

I go to Walmart every 3 days or so to buy a couple things and see how much of the store is still picked over and get a sense for your average Joe. Just bought an Instant Pot, need stuff to put in it. Go on lots of walks and see others out walking. McDonalds twice (it's a 1/2 mile away and my daughter works there) and Chinese takeout. Talked to the neighbors outside. But I'm not like those nuts on beaches in Florida so I'll say 4.

1 It's illegal to take an open container of alcohol from a bar in the vast majority of USA. Basically, you're licensed to 1) serve alcohol that is consumed on premises, in your bar or dining room, or 2) serve alcohol in appropriate packaging for carrying out (i.e., unopened cans or bottles), or 3) both, although that's uncommon and more of a small-town thing.
2 There are a few exceptions, for example NOLA and Key West that I'm aware of, I'm sure there's more
3 Many areas have explicitly changed the rules temporarily for the current situation because a) they hope that being able to get drinks helps people tolerate the isolation and b) they desperately want to get income to restaurants.

So, it's all improvised. We got very basic styrofoam cups, with lids. Drove home with them like that, which is also illegal under normal circumstances. I'm sure it's actually illegal still, but not something they're keen to enforce.
