If anyone's bored, here's an opportunity for you to volunteer on various scientific(?) tasks for fighting Covid-19...

Why would I want to think about testing positive for COVID?

But seriously, here are a few positives:

1. Fewer cars on the road and planes in the air significantly reduces our carbon footprint
2. Now that many services are virtual, I've been reconnecting with folks in a couple of the congragations I used to attend, and "attending" services with other family members who live in 3 different states.
3. Been doing more meditation

I had a zoom happy hour with my former bowling teammates (plus sister). it was fun other than my sister annoying me some. I got to drink wine my sister got me from napa like 4 years ago, which I never drank cause I have rules against drinking at home due to my acid reflux. I made an exception for this.

we had been talking on and off about getting together to see the new house and baby of 2 of the teammates who got married, but due to laziness it never happened. took a forced social distancing for us to actually hang out, although virtually to avoid cooties.

Been doing a few Zoom gatherings, including my cousin and friends, a virtual song session with some old Jersey friends, and had a family call, which was nice except for my mother being unable to use her computer's mike. She did try to call in, but it produced an echo, at which point I started saying, "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to get through this thing called life."
