My state has allowed restaurants that are doing takeout only to also allow takeout alcohol drinks. Definitely think that should be something that is allowed longer term. Not sure on the specifics but if you could order say 5 really good drinks and just go home and party.... that could be awesome.

Last night we got away with speeding, 20 miles over the limit, no ticket.

We're fully stocked on art supplies, and I've turned some of my normal commute time into art time

Auto accidents will be down.

Birth rates will be up.

Social cohesion will be up.

Producers of toilet paper will lead us in a new, softer world.

On a similar note, I had a beer on my walk last night. Open carry is likely not a priority for law enforcement at this time.

You're not allowed to drink in public????

Positive note: the kiddo is learning his way around our whole neighborhood. Today on our walk I told him to lead us home and he did it!

I don't know about legal... but it was a pretty common thing in Florida.

New Orleans, fer sure, though I have not been there in about 15 years.

wki is my socially-distant friend:

In my local park, there are free concerts once a month, and people bring their alcohol and drink it pretty openly.

So, it doesn't look as if my little part of SoCal has an ordinance on the books, or they relax enforcement for these concerts. But, I'm guessing one ugly incident could change that.
I know L.A. does not allow open containers (not first-hand).
