From the SOA:

One of the bullets for grading volunteers says "Grades submissions within approximately 72 hours of assignment to graderís queue."

To me, this means that if someone gets graded with your submission date, you can anticipate that a grader will grade yours within that 72 hours. It could be a little longer (based on queue lag and flexibility for the grader assigned). As well, there are rumors that second or third graders sometimes look at your submission, which could extend you another (flexible) window or two.

Hopefully, some others can read that link in its entirety and share some thoughts.
I think it depends on how you define "approximately" since SOA also says submissions will be graded in "approximately" 7 weeks.

My coworker believes that this grading party is for both IA and FA.

I had a similar question a few months ago, and others on AO seemed to think that the IA and FA grading parties always happened together.

No. Graders still grade between grading parties, so any papers in the queue not graded at the January party would be at the front of the queue and likely graded in the days after.

Gotta say, the worst part is the waiting. Best advice I can give is to avoid checking the spreadsheet until people are posting results ~2 weeks before your submission date and try to find a distraction to get it out of your head in the meantime.

Definitely didn't follow my own advice on that (I had a countdown to seven weeks I checked every day and was constantly looking at my transcript...best I can say is that I didn't reopen the file after submitting), but it's definitely easier said than done. Good luck!
