Default Recommended Study Materials for MFE

I am thinking of taking MFE in May and have no background in financial economics. Any ideas as to what textbooks or study manuals may be most helpful?

I used John Hull's "Options, Futures, and other derivatives" book in Uni and found it useful.

That was the text the SOA used when I took 8V.

I'm using it as a reference when I find the current text for MFE to be inadequate.
