They used Log Cabin right?

Part of the problem is that I'm only in during breakfast time, which doesn't really call out for a cupcake even if I try to think of it as a frosted muffin.

No question here, since I've no doubt the AOpinion would clearly call for having a cupcake and sending one to each of my friends. Just an observation.
I'm trying to understand why you can't just buy a cupcake in the morning and eat it later.

We call cooking a bunch of burgers barbequeing. We don't think of it as real barbeque food. If you put BBQ sauce on a burger, it's just a topping, not a whole new style of cooking.

Silly southener, thinking us northerners be crazy.

Btw, it's "barbecue", and the only meat involved should be pork.

Don't make me get Carolina on your ass.
Bullshit. Pork is barely considered BBQ at all. Damn Northerners.

BBQ consists of beef, sausage, chicken (yes there is such a thing as BBQ chicken, but it's not chicken with BBQ sauce on it), and if I listen to people east of me, some pork. There's also BBQ ribs, but I don't really consider that BBQ either. I don't believe pulled pork is truly BBQ, but some people do. BBQ pork chops are awesome, but rare.

What the hell is BBQ then? I came into this thinking pulled pork and ribs were some of the standards of barbeque! We can throw sausage on the grill with the best of them up here, and I believe that Wisconsin (definitely part of the north) has mastered the art.

Sausage on the grill and on the pit are two totally different things.

True BBQ gets the seasonings of the wood completely immersed into the meat. In that manner, you could BBQ anything...However, my problem with ribs is the fact that there just isn't enough meat on there to really get the flavor of the wood in there.

You can call ribs BBQ, I just said it was my opinion that it wasn't. I'd never seen pulled pork until I left TX. It is strictly an eastern phenomenon. You go to any BBQ competition in TX(and trust me, we take our BBQ seriously), and the categories are for brisket, ribs, chicken and beans. There are some frou-frou categories for margaritas and such, but none for pulled pork.

Essentially it's slow-cooked/smoked meat. Has to do with how it's cooked. Personally, I find sausage a little weird as BBQ, but I'm way less elitist than J.T. on the general subject. I have far stronger opinions on the subject of what constitutes "a barbecue" than on what constitutes "barbecue."

Anyway, I'm not in the best mood.

I've already conceded that I can see that ribs and pulled pork are BBQ to some people, but are not to me. Along with those facts, I will truly disagree that pork is the only kind of BBQ, and isn't even close. A well cooked brisket will beat any other BBQ hands down...no matter what you're used to eating.
