Default Quebec Town Code of Conduct to immigrants: bans kirpans, veils, etc

Official text

Newspaper article

Highlights:

-Boys and girls swim together in public pools. No segregation. (in response to other requests made in Canada for special segregated swimming times)
-Veils are not welcome. "The only time you may mask or cover your face is during Halloween."
-It is forbidden to stone women, burn them alive, throw acid on them or circumcise girls.
-Children cannot carry weapons to school. That includes ceremonial religious daggers such as kirpans even though the Supreme Court of Canada has ruled that Sikhs can carry kirpans in schools.

Regarding the actual text...

I especially like the part where "Halloween ... is a religious traditional custom" but in describing "'Christmas Decorations' or also 'Christmas Tree'" they tell us it is "not necessarily a religious holiday."

I sure hope this was written in French and translated into English, because it isn't very well written in English.

So it's banning customs that should have fallen out of favor in the first millennium. Slow and steady progress!

That sounds pretty painful right about now... assuming there is not that much difference in temperature between these guys and where I am now (150km away). It is damn cold out some days and going outside without my face covered is kind of a problem.
