Default Shaun Livingston

Grossest injury I've ever seen.

It's on youtube for the curious.

9-12 months expected recovery. Willis McGahee had a similar injury and was out 19 months (affected by season timing as well)

9-12 month expected and the end of next season is what, 14 months away? seems pretty reasonable there.

i couldn't click on it. when the headline said "dislocates knee", I figured I didn't want to see it.

I remember magahee's, and it was ugly and upsetting.

its not very pleasant to watch (I've seen it twice)...he starts to land normally and its almost like a grenade goes off inside his knee.

I've seen two injuries of this severity in person, and I hope to god I never see a third.

Clearly you are not familiar with Clint Malarchuk.

That sounds similar to Kyle's injury after his negroplasty.

To me, it actually looks like just before he lands, he's trying to turn his foot, like he's pivoting in mid-air, so he can land facing the basket. Then he lands, the body keeps twisting, the leg doesn't. With that in mind, I think it looked worse than it actually was. Not that it wasn't obviously still really bad.
