Default ISO PAP - Section D Question

A question in the All-10 manual includes the following statement, which it says is FALSE:

"Transportation expense coverage is provided in the even tof partial theft such as stealing a battery or other equipment that leaves the vehicle inoperable."

Why is this false? I would think this would fall under "other than collision," which is covered.

Gee, I was pondering at this one yesterday. I convinced myself using the following:

PAP part D says transportation cost is covered for (1)Total theft (2)Other than theft. So partial theft doesn't fall into any of these two.

Not very convincing. Any thoughts from others?

There is a 48 hour waiting period on this type of policy. In the case of partial theft, you still have the car, you can get it fixed, subject to your deductible under different provisions in this policy (other than collision)
