Wow America must be really important to have everybody in other countries choose who to vote for by whether or not the candidate wants to be an American ally or not. I guess that article proves that Bush is the greatest president ever though.

![]() Imagine if Europe totally hated Bush. OK, been there done that. IRRC, what Europe thinks doesn't matter. Has that conclusion (the one that European opinion doesn't matter) changed now that some Europeans hate Bush only a little bit?

Someone tells us that God loves us as a father loves his children. We are reassured. But then something awful happens. Some qualification is made.... We are reassured again. But then perhaps we ask: what is this assurance of God's (appropriately qualified) love worth, what is this apparent guarantee really a guarantee against? Just what would have to happen not merely (morally and wrongly) to tempt but also (logically and rightly) to entitle us to say "God does not love us" or even "God does not exist"? -- Antony Flew |

Perhaps this is in the same sense that Iraq is important because everybody in this country chooses who to vote for by the candidate's views on Iraq.

That's the most stupid article I've read in a while now.

I viewed the article as satire...was it legit (no one can really see a a bunch of unrelated positives out of a host of negatives - if so, they must really be drinking the kool aid)

The professions of friendship with the US should be taken in context. In recent years, leaders of those countries have been accused of being unfriendly to the US because they didn't support our invasion of Iraq. All they're doing now is emphasizing that they never disliked the US. They only opposed the Iraq war because it's stupid, catastrophic, and counter-productive.
For example, the new French leader said "France would be there when we needed her." Well, there's no question we could use some help in Iraq, but I doubt he wants his statement taken quite that literally. Last edited by Wally; 05-16-2007 at 11:42 AM.. |

When I was in Ireland I was shocked at the number of anti-Bush posters I saw. Does that prove anything? No, but either does this biased article. A poitician (Hillary) bashed another politician (Bush) in an effort to get elected. What a shocker! |

Wow, we need a democrat to fix what a Republican did.
In 2000, Bush's campaign included restoring dignity to the Office of the President. Politicians are retards. People who support them are extra-retarded.
