No.

Besides, it would be too hard to read. Rumor has it that there are MP3s (versions of the videos, I'm assuming) available for download, though.

Ipods can be used as a hard drive, so you can technically download any file to it. Being able to do anything meaningful with file is another issue. To my knowledge, you cannot view a pdf file on an ipod -- nor can you view a video file that has not been formatted for the ipod.

Plus, with the videos, you don't actually download them, you stream them.

Just curious as I'm still trying to figure out what I am doing for Exam 6, does anyone know if you can start out with just the manual and then upgrade to the online seminar at a later time.

I think they're pretty flexible, I don't think you'd have a problem doing that, just talk to Day, he'll most likely hook you up.

No problem. Just register for the manual and if you decide to upgrade, then contact Day (Mo' 5! on the AO) or customer service.

So has anyone who has used this manual think it's good enough to use as a stand alone manual without purchasing the videos? Or is it only useful as a supplement to the videos?

Since no one has replied to you in a few days, I'll jump in. It might be a biased view but I think I have a good feel for what you're asking. The manual, as with other manuals, is a good reference. It condenses the readings and supplies practice problems to reinforce the material. Do the videos add any value to the manual? Absolutely. If I was studying, I would have loved to have someone verbally explain the material and walk me through problems. Is it worth the extra cost to have it? I would also say a definitive yes to that as I would be looking to pass this on the first try and use every advantage possible to do so. But it is a significant increase to add it on ($625) and you'll have to decide based on your own preferences. Some people like to study in a quiet space without having a computer in front of them. So I think you would be the best judge on the answer to your question. Hope this helped.

P.S. Right now all the CAS 6 videos are available to registered users, but if you'd like to view a free sample, just PM me your name and email address and I can give you access.

I'll throw my hat in the ring here as well; the videos were enormously helpful for exam 5; without them there are parts of the exam which would have taken me much, much, much longer to learn/understand.

I expect them to be even more helpful for exam 6; I'm given to understand that the material for this exam is more technical, and thus the walkthroughs for the various techniques will be even more valuable.

The cost of the seminar is only high until you compare it to the cost of failure.

Or to the cost of other seminars
