Default Super Bowl Tickets

Has anyone ever bought them?

Any suggestions for getting them?

It looks like nosebleed tickets (through a broker) are about $3,000. Should I just bite the bullet and buy now?

not sure if this applies, but I used razorgator.com last year to buy for the BCS national title game.

If you wanna go, the earlier you can buy, the better. The prices will shoot up (yes, even higher) once teams are known as the fans try to get their tickets.

If you are in the mood to gamble, there is a site out there (would need to look it up) where you can pay now a price, and if "your team" makes it, you get tickets. Its basically a prop bet on the likelihood of your team making the superbowl, and the price you are charged depends on which team you pick as "your team". That doesn't sound like what you are looking for, however.

good luck!

Do you want to go no matter what? Or do you just want to go if a certain team makes it?

If the answer is the second one, then you can look at ticketreserve.com. They sell the rights to buy a face value ticket if the team you choose goes to the superbowl. For example, for $30 a ticket you can get tickets at face value (nose bleeds still) if the Vikings make it to the superbowl.

It's really a gamble. Some cities/fans will bid the price up to 2-3x that amount if they make the Super Bowl, others won't. If you hold out, and a couple of dead fan bases get in, you might get it for the same price 5 months later. However, if a rabid fan base like Pittsburgh, Philly, or Dallas gets in, the price goes way up.

how do people get on the ground floor for these tickets and get them for face?

Are they season ticket holders at the host venue? Or do you have to enter a lottery?

I've often thought I need to get in on these and get them for face just for the profit margin, but I know I am not the only person that thinks that and the odds of getting them at face are slim. To none.

I think each team that makes it gets like 5-7K tickets to lottery off to season ticket holders that got playoff seats. Another huge block go to the NFL themselves and the sponsors, and the hosting team gets some.

The small remainder, I have no idea how you get access to them.

Jets are currently selling for $125
Falcons are selling for $44
Bears are selling for $495
Partiots are selling for $685

The website is pretty cool. If anybody has some extra cash to gamble (invest) it might be worth buying some longshots and selling them for a profit in December.

Thanks!

Cool Site, I think I will go that route. (Scary thing is this morning I was thinking it would be a neat idea if someone did this exact thing, as usual a day late and a dollar short )

I think I'd buy an extra chance at the seat then if I made it I could sell that one to pay for the travel expenses and the other ticket.

what about the browns?

I remember seeing this site last year half way through the CFB season and figuring that it would be better to place a bet on an online site or in vegas and then take the winnings and buy tickets than it would be to buy the tickets like this. I think they load up the vig on that site more than the combined vegas vig AND the cost of ticket increase when the teams are known.

But of course, that last variable is just that: a variable.

$25 is the lowest offer to sell.
$16 is the highest bid to buy.

The Texans are 20 and 10
