Do we know what the pass mark is usually (historically) for 8V and similar? Seems like it would be hard to piece together for an essay exam since the grading is somewhat subjective.

we need a lot of people with 5's to post the number of points they received, calculated as the weighted avg of (0-10 score)/10 x number of points in each q.

If we get a good amount of data from 5ers, we can try to estimate the cutoff for the 6.

From what I picked up from Carmody...the pass mark is usually around 70pts, but there is a lot of variance in that number.

Also, you don't need to get 60% of the total points to pass. Assume that a single question has 80 pts on the detailed outline. Depending on how hard the question is, getting 60 pts on that question might get you a 10, and 35 might get you a six.
