I don't think they are releasing the exam this time, in preparation for CBT of FM.

Will we know our result online first then by mail OR only by the grade slip sent to us?

They will post a list of candidates on-line first. You will know your 0-10 score only by mail, a few days later. (that's how it used to be. They've introduced on-line transcripts as well. Maybe that contains 0-10 grade; I don't know.)

Real easy, once you have it. But they set the passmark based on analysis of how candidates performed. This could be especially challenging with 3 forms, including some overlapping questions.

If it goes the same as exam P did last sitting... The passing candidate #s will be posted online and the exam slips (w/ grades) will be sent out about the same time. Later you will see passing candidate names and the online transcript will be updated w/ your # grade.

I have a question about this, since I've been wondering about this for awhile.

If this is true, then why do pass rates vary at all between sittings? If they adjusted the pass mark in order to achieve a fixed pass rate (e.g. 40%), then shouldn't the empirical results support this? It seems to me that, looking at previous exams, the pass mark is more likely to be fixed (for example, 21 with the new exam), while the pass rate appears to vary more.
