Default How would you shake up the major conferences?

...so that the 'big' ones all have a conference championship..

Hawaii and Boise St go to the PAC 10. Iowa St goes to the Big 10. Tulsa goes to the Big 12 north. Central Florida, Navy, Notre Dame, and Army go to the Big East. Whatever else for the minor conference shakeups.

How about cutting them all down to 8, so they can schedule 4 (or 5) non-conference tough games?

Hmm, in your scenriao, I'd put Colorado State in the Big 12 North..

why does the Pac-10 need a championship game? We play a round-robin. Every team plays every other team in the regular season every year. No need for a conference championship game.

I vote Hawaii doesn't get a school. The travel there has got to just be horrible. For a long vacation, fine. For a 3 day turn around to play football once every 10 years or so, not ideal but acceptable. Putting them in a major conference and making a team travel out there every other or every third year. I bet you are going to have some AD's really up in arms over that.

I don't think every team plays every other team every year. I thought you only played 8 or 9 out of the 10 each year.

The AD's will be up in arms over a semi-annual trip to Hawaii? I doubt it.

It isn't the AD's that get to make the trip. And if you are going to go to Hawaii, why would you go for 3 days and practice and play football the whole time? I think the players would love it but the coaches would hate it.

This is correct. When the schedules were expanded to 12 games, the pac-10 added another conference game. unlike all the other major conferences that just added another cupcake game.
