Can we assume that;

You are a child and he is a child,
In this kingdom by the sea;
But you will love with a love that was more than love-
He and Annabel Lee;
With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven
Coveted you and he.

Not quite there yet...and I'm rather hoping not to end up in a sepulchre there by the sea. At this point, I'd be happy with a phone call. I'm willing to wait for the "love that was more than love" bit.

Did you have any trouble mixing the egg yolks and chocolate? Also, what chocolate did you use? (I'm thinking of making this myself.)

I used cheap chocolate (Lieber's semisweet chocolate chips from the kosher grocery), Splenda instead of sugar, 7 egg whites, 5 egg yolks (I had 2 leftover egg whites from something I made earlier in the week), 3 Tbsp. of eggbeaters (to make up the rest of the yolks), and 3 Tbsp. of Simply Whites for the remaining egg white.

I had no trouble mixing or stirring.

When dessert was served, conversation came to a complete halt. The only comments heard for several minutes were variations on, "This is amazing!" and "You made this? Mmmm."

Had I used higher quality chocolate, people might have dissolved into paroxysms of pleasure. It's that good.

Aw, crap, don't tell me that! Now I'll have to make it, which will not help with my goal of maintaining my weight over the holidays...

Glad to hear it went so well!

Ah, I see. When I heard you say 7 egg whites and 5 egg yolks, I thought you might have thrown out {pauses for a second to perform mental calculation}... the extra two egg yolks.

I'm glad to hear that wasn't the case, because if it were that would have been so... wrong?

Extra egg yolks make great hollandaise sauce. (Among other things.) I generally have more whites left over.

My mom would make a "lazy daisy" cake when she had yolks left over from a recipe. (It's a very moist yellow cake that is extremely simple and pretty much designed to use up extra yolks after you make a fancy white cake. The white cake was supposedly for your party, women's luncheon, etc., and you served the daisy cake to the kids and hubby to keep 'em happy and quiet.)

A heart attack on a plate, really, but very tasty.

Egg yolks make mayonnaise; or hollandaise sauce, or cremem anglais, or... I can pretty much always use eggs, yolks or whites.
