Default Buying gum at Walgreens

So my favorite gum is on sale, marked down from $1.19 to 99 cents. This requires a coupon but they always let you use the ones up at the register. I scoop up 3 packs after she rings them up, the coupon won't work. It's for a different type of gum. We search for the coupon on vain, then off she goes to verify it's 99 cents.

Now she writes down the two numbers and in about ten seconds has them subtracted correctly - she realizes the difference is 20 cents. After adjustments the price is now $2.73 including tax. I tell her, "Now you've undercharged me" but there isn't much left to do but smile and be on my way because it's beyond fixing now.

I paid $1.19 + $1.19 + $0.20 + 6% tax

This thread can now sink into obsolecense.

I gave you a hundred dollars?!

You sure did. Am I crazy, or is that a lot of gum?

It's a lot of gum!
