For those of you who have taken this before, has the release of results been consistently at 8 weeks after the seminar? I think next Friday will be 8 weeks (at least from when the seminar started) but I was sort of hoping we'd see something before XMas. What are the odds?

Hey, there. I was also at the LA seminar. We were speaking with one of the instructors (the one from Vancouver) at lunch one day. He made it sound like results wouldn't be out until the New Year (he told us the process in detail -- seems long and convoluted, like everything at the SoA).

Just enjoy the holidays!

I was at the October 2000 seminar in Washington DC. We got our results about 3-4 weeks late--after the regular November exam results came out, and after the results of the seminar which took place three weeks after ours came out.

As far as I know, this is the only occasion when the results missed the eight week guideline, but hoo-boy did they miss it!

Does not seem like it should take 8 weeks to grade 35 essay papers even if there is only one grader. I think I should point this out to my wife - an English professor who has to grade 100 essays (of comparable length and, speaking for myself, probably greater complexity) in less than a week and has to come up with more precise grades (not just pass/fail).

I was also at the LA seminar - would be nice to get (passing) results before xmas. Any ideas of the passing rates at the last few seminars?

It looks like 35 of 37 passed, based on the number of names on the email saying that results are out.

Luckily mine was one of them -- on to PD!

Moe - do you already have 8? Do you have to do the project, or can we hope you'll atttend an early FAC?

In any case - congratulations Moe & Iggy and all the other Course 7 passers.
