Did not know if it was appropriate to post this here, but was wondering if there any actuaries that might do some short term freelance work.
Looking for someone with expertise in return methodologies and has a background in P&C, Life and/or ERM. Looking for assistance in the development of a business case/project charter in an attempt to advance recent discussions regarding the development of consistent bases for assessing the performance of IT projects for Property & Casualty, and Life and Annuity. I am using actuarial methods and frameworkds to determine the investment return on projects currently - this is why I need some technical assistance as I am not an actuary. I can provide more details...if interested, please PM me. Thank you, Mike |

I know some who do. But they may be running afoul of their employer's code of ethics, they may not be able to give your project the appropriate time and priority, and they may not carry professional liability insurance.
I suggest you use a consultant, not someone who freelances.
