Default Bachelor recipes

So, having recently become single again, and not wanting to survive on cereal and ramen noodles again, I need some good recipes-for-one (or at least ones that make decent leftovers).

I am a decent chef when i have a recipe, but not very good at improvisation.

Go.

1 case beer
1 cell phone with various take-out numbers pre-programed.
Replace ccase of beer as often as needed (ever couple days or so)

Why do you need specific "for one" recipes? Make a regular recipe, eat a single portion, and save the rest as leftovers for the week. Then you don't have to cook as much during the week anyway.

Pouches are a great way to cook.

Simple one:

Left over rice
Salmon
Lemon slices
Asparagus

On a sheet of tinfoil, layer the left over rice. On top of the rice, place the salmon. Season with some pepper, soy sauce. Place the lemon slices on top and the asparagus on the side.

Seal the tin foil, bake @ 350 for to degree done-ness of the fish desired. Probably 20 - 30minutes. Open and eat.

---

This basic concept can easily be adjusted for a lot more foods. See Alton Brown link.

One of my favorites:

Ingredients: 1lb Ground Beef, 1 Box of Mac & Cheese, 1 can Tomato Soup and 1 small bag mixed vegatables (or whatever you like).

Make Mac & Cheese and Vegetables as directed. Brown the ground beef. Then mix all 4 things together. It tastes terrific and the leftovers are pretty good too.

It's basically an easy way to make goulash. (at least what I know as goulash)
