Basic Annuity Question

In the ASM manual (7th edition), practice problem number 1 for sections 3a to 3c confuses me. I set the problem up exactly like the solution which states that the AV in month 300 should be divided s double dot angle 300 but in actuality the solution divides the AV by s angle 300. Am I crazy and missing something?
