Exactly. This is why I think it's funny when people like J-Rab (who obviously have a lot invented in what other people think) accuse me of "not contributing anything" to this board. I think we all have 2 things we could contribute: (1) another hysterical, ill-informed opinion, or (2) a message telling people what is said here isn't all that important. I choose 2.
Or in your case, 1042 messages telling people this board is not important.

As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no DonkeyPunch.

No wonder I agree with you a lot.
Are you sure you're not my other RF ID?

Never admit you agree with me if you are looking for friends here. Join the reps or dems club. You can tell who they are because they call themselves independents. It is much easier.

A fun site, but I wonder a little about the centering. The economic scale seems okay - a few people thought they were tagged more liberal than they would have guessed, but basically we see the left-wingers on the minus side and the right-wingers on the plus, or at least near zero. But the libertarian scale seems odd. Has anyone scored more than +1? Did they set it up to separate Hitler and Stalin from the rest of us? Are Brits just much less libertarian than Americans?

fallout,

We can start with the whole idea that free markets should have borders... for the market to work best, immigration should be easy and unrestricted, unless you have committed crimes.

Unrestricted borders? That is deep. Requires thought.

Sounds kind of like what liberals in America want with regards to Illegal immigrants. This conservative view is being embraced by liberals?

No ... it's just that the quiz moves you right for free market ideas, and left for regulatory ideas. A true free market has no restrictions on the use of labor, hence it requires no immigration laws.

I happen to believe in an open border policy. (This does NOT mean I condone illegal immigration, though. It's still the law of the land, and should be respected as such until the citizens of the US realize it's to their benefit to change the law in the proper way.)

Left - 2.63
Libertarian -5.95

Politically I'm a realistic libertarian. I wonder why no politicians ever campaign with a right to privacy platform. Since there is no right to privacy in the constitution it seems doing so would get them noticed.
