Thanks Bruce!
The CFA Institute added “actuary” back to the list of sample job titles that can qualify somebody for regular membership: http://www.cfainstitute.org/cfaprog/...jobtitles.html They even gave a sample description of what kind of experience they are looking for to approve actuarial work: http://www.cfainstitute.org/cfaprog/...criptions.html Thanks for your hard work on this! |

Still, pretty cool. |

Three cheers! Hip, hip, hooray! Except... I support annual actuarial valuation processes and perform benefit calculations.

Hmm...if I recall, some of the CFA exams take care of a couple of the VEE requirements that I need. I didn't look too far into it, since at the time, I thought I couldn't even get a CFA designation, being an actuary. I might have to revisit that idea.

VEE..........CFA Exam #
-------------------- Econ...............1 Finance...........1+2 Stat...............2 Hard to imagine a situation where someone on an actuarial track would do CFA Exams 1+2 before getting an ASA though. I can't imagine many employers supporting it with study time for sure. |
