I've seen several times. not so much -- I thought Linus was linking it from one of his emoticon farms.

From our first big battle, I think.
I guess none of the rest of us were carrying it. It's a good thing you're back.

Well sure, we could use the climbing rope, but is that any way to impress Miss Take?

Since Gimli specified he wouldn't actually start climbing before finding out if anyone had a climbers' kit, it's safe to assume he didn't start climbing before the climbing rope was produced. Whether he would have sobered up enough to use the climbing rope, or to hold on to it, remains an open item.

Um, you should really check out that first page of the thread, where I sorta link to all the important stuff.

I have always wondered where we were going to use it....thought AS would provide an opportunity at some point.

Based on those helpful links, it looks like I'm only 310 xp behind.

ETA: Also, I apparently leveled up after the pirate ship battle with everyone else. And already picked Fire Shroud as my level 3 power. Amazing what you can forget when you don't play for months and months.

That is why the DM was laughing. Silly dwarf flying off the cliff because he forgot about the rope.

I am having a busy day and don't have time right now to look up how the rope works if there are any rolls that are required. It will be sometime this afternoon most likely before I get to it. If someone has their PH handy and want to look it up, that would be great too.

It's a minor action for someone (can be anyone) to get the rope to go up the cliff and tie itself off to something so we can climb it. Then I think we just climb like normal (with an Athletics check). Since we're going up a rope, the DC is only 10.

Um, does anyone have a clue what my modifier would be for an Athletics check?

ETA: Sorry, found it. It's +1 (+0 plus 1/2 my level).

AS, can we all just Take 10? Is there any real danger facing us that would distract us?
