CL Eric could not get an open shot on a gnoll from anywhere. He could get an open shot at H1 from E9 or F9, and an open shot at H2 from E9. Waiting for his choice of one of those, or with sticking to attacking a gnoll with -2. If Vonteras chimes in before CL Eric, I'll just have CL Eric attack H2 from E9. I still haven't looked at the spoiler. If it's a low attack roll that's missing no matter what,

C.L. Eric would love to get an open shot at H2 from E9, but he thinks perhaps Wonk would not want him in her way so he chooses to move to F9 instead and attack H1.
He also hopes that his attack roll doesn't miss.

wonk likes to share, but game rules do require you to be in different squares, so E9 was indeed unavailable.

Starting position F9. Sacred Flame on H1 - Hit: 7 + 7 + 2 = 16 vs. reflex for 3 + 6 = 9 damage. If that hits, 2 temp HP to Vonteras.

The flame burns almost all the hair off that hyena. He too is bloodied.

Whoops. The reason I had those temp HP going to Vonteras is because he was the only one I could see when I first posted that. I don't think I can see him anymore, so whoever wants them can have them.

V's suggestion is that Gimli and Sir K take the center, which is the easiest for the bad guys to gang upon if they choose to. So perhaps they start in E9/F9 and charge to square D5/E5. V would look to start in B9 or B10 (whichever is out of C L Eric's way) and charge to square B5 attacking G1.

He may be right; it's up to you. All starting positions apply before the surprise round starts. If you start in B9, as you tentatively said you would, the tree blocks his view of you from F9 (which is the spot CL Eric eventually chose). If you start in B10, which I think works for your charge, he can see you when he attacks.

Not invisible per se. But I think you had expressed a desire to start in B9 which I would not have line of sight through the tree. So you might be invisible, I don't know. I can't see you.

E9 and F9 are not available, but E10/F10 are and work OK. This gives G3 route out if he wants it, but I'll stick with the plan on my turn, which is after Vonteras.

The big trees are not hard corners. Gnolls and hyenas can slip through on diagonals. They can even shift through. B5/D5/E5 will slow them down.
