Does proficiency require a feat? I think we all get a new feat at 2nd level. We might prefer to leave it a b@$tard sword if proficiency can easily be acquired.

Too late. As much as I wanted to be saying ba$tard sword all the time, it is too much of a pain to type so it is a longsword

Yes. It's a minor action where instead of gaining the normal healing surge amount, you gain 10 hp instead. Since a healing surge is only 5 for me, I would really really like one. :puppydogeyes:
