Default 8I reading order, published references

This is my first attempt for this exam. I've got very helpful info from this forum, such as which study manual to use. Any suggestions for reading orders? Will I be better off if I start from product development or pricing? How important are the published references? Should they be used just for background information reading purpose or they will possibly be tested in the exam?

Any suggestions or advices will be appreciated.

Use the McCain study manual - but make up your own condensed outline. Not that hers is bad, but you learn more by making up your own condensed.

Product stuff is really big on the exam and it isn't a bad idea to organize your notes by product type even on the stuff that isn't product development. (Example, for product type joint universal life, include information on development, pricing, risks and valuation.)

Look over the old exams. They hit most of the study notes and published references - but most questions are oriented by product type so it might be a good idea to start with the product section first.

Most importantly, go through all material at least 40 or 50 times, and give up all personal life activities until after the exam.

Thank you for your suggestions, mayreeh. I will start from the product development section.

One more question if you don't mind. Where can I find additional practice problems except for those from previous exams? When I studies for course 5 and 6, I found it very helpful to work on problems after reading each chapter. Also Actuarybert's study guide doesn't provide practice problems like JAM's.
