Default JAM suggested study schedule problem

The study schedule is not really updated, it still includes books not on this year's list: such as 'Financial Markets and Corporate Strategy', 'Risk Management'

Did you check study notes? I'm pretty sure the Crouhy Risk Management chapters are included in the study notes...

I thought the same thing, but if you look at the study manual table of contents. That book is actually FET 162-08 and FET 163-08. That is the only one on the suggested study schedule that I've seen that doesn't have the FET *** ** in the title.

I see. Thanks. I don't have the study notes yet, just faxed order form yesterday and haven't heard back.

I think someone said the AMPV was being redesigned, maybe Mary Hardy. Don't take my word for it though.

Yeah and here I thought 10% of it would overlap and we don't even get that much! And I started for FETE a month and a half later than for APMV and I barely finished the readings for APMV in time for the seminar... It just keeps comin'...

wow .....you guys usually start that early??? I was hoping to finish first round reading in two month but that requires 2500/60 = 41.67 pages per day ....

How is 342 pages less than 10% of 2483?

Admitterdly I was a little annoyed, so I went ahead and made a detailed syllabus comparison. (The syllabus has been out since before we even sat for APMV, so it really shouldn't be a surprise...and we're pretty lucky to have any overlap at all, IMHO.)

Babbel & Fabozzi Ch. 11,13 - 27 pp
Chew Ch. 32 - 7 pp
Hardy Ch. 3,4,5,6,12,13 - 111 pp
Hull Ch. 13,14,16,17,19,22,24,25,30 - 153 pp
FET-152-08 "Model Risk" - 10 pp
FET 153-08 "What Does an Option Pricing Model Tell Us about Option Prices?" - 4 pp
FET 154-08 "Efficient Stochastic Modeling Utilizing Representative Scenarios" - 15 pp
FET 155-08 "Use of Stochastic Techniques to Value Actuarial Liabilities Under Canadian GAAP" - 26 pp
Oxford Guide to Financial Modeling Ch. 5,6 - 87 pp

Total Duplicate Pages: 440
Total FETE Pages: 2483
Percentage of Total FETE Pages that were on the APMV syllabus: 17.72%
