Default Phelps is great...but..

..I think I may get tired of hearing about him.

He's a great swimmer and brought great pride to the US.

But he basically does just one or two things. Swim free or butterfly straight ahead. Sometimes he goes 50 meters. Sometimes he goes 100m. Sometimes he might go 200m.

It's just the way it is structured where the swimmers can get a whole bunch of medals for relatively the same stuff.

Someone winning the decathlon has to do 10 different things but they can only get one medal.

Lebron James and Kobe can only win one no matter what they do. They have to run straight ahead...but also shoot, dribble, and play defense.

Anyone see the interview with him tonight? Kind of a crybaby. And not quite sure why mom was so proud that he pretended to not recognize some guy who made fun of him one time.

Bad example - Lebron can practically get away without dribbling.

Kobe famously does at least one other thing, but there's not yet a gold medal given for it.
