Bongo originally started a topic with the following post:

Quote:
I知 interested to hear people痴 conversion or restoration of faith stories. What was it that made you become a believer? I知 most interested to hear if anyone became a believer because of some logical argument rather than revelation (but I知 interested in the other as well). I知 also thinking mostly of people who have had Christian revelations, but if anyone wants to share a story with another faith I知 interested to hear that as well.

I frequently hear of books that give excellent reasons to believe, but it seems to me that they are always written for the choir, and I wonder if anyone has ever really been moved to belief by one of these works. The few that I致e read recently along this line include Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis, Creator and the Cosmos, and Letters from a Skeptic. If anyone has ever been moved to join a religion by a book like that I'd be especially interested to hear about it.
This thread was changed radically and perhaps prematurely. I'm simply starting this ArcTangent in case anyone wishes to post more on the original topic.

RW

Before actually posting (links to) stories, I'd just like to say thank you for starting a TAN!

Black bag, that's sweet. There were some on that page - but the link was broken.
